Boux Avenue Sale!

Happy New Year!

First of all, happy new year everybody! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and had huge new year celebrations! I spent it at my boyfriends which is why I haven't been posting much over the Christmas period - I apologise! I've just been super busy catching up with different family members up and down the country but I've got my posting mojo back and I shall be creating a lot more beauty/fashion/homeware posts throughout 2014! So again, happy new year and I hope you all have a safe and wonderful 2014!

So today my post is about the Boux Avenue sale. So the day after Boxing Day  (Friday) me and my sister went into Manchester to take a look at the sales and if I'm being honest... I wasn't impressed, at all. We went into Ark and we didn't see anything we liked, we went to shops including Topshop, Urban Outfitters, Selfridges and H&M, but we just weren't satisfied at all. The only shops that had great sales were House of Fraser, Mango and Boux Avenue.
They had some of the most gorgeous sets in Boux, I fell in love with some of them but a few were too expensive. Then I found this floral patterened, feminine set and I loved it!

I fell in love with the style, the colour(s) and the lace. I thought it was so feminine and classy but really sexy too. I was scared incase it didn't suit my body or if the colour of the set didn't suit my skin tone because I'm quite naturally pale. So I took the risk and bought it because it was just too pretty not to buy. The bra cost £15 and the high waisted Lyla Rose satin briefs cost £8 (They were £16) so for the set together they cost £23, which I thought was a reasonable price for Boux!

My favourite feature of this set is the Lyla Rose satin high waisted briefs. I think they're so cute and provocative at the same time which is a hard combination to find in women's underwear, you either get one or the other. I love the laced pattern around the edges, it really makes them look dainty and delicate.

Soooo, I tried them on, just to see how they'd look...

... And I absolutely loved them! I thought they were really suited to my skin colour so if you're quite pale like me and you're looking for underwear which is erotic but classy, I really would recommend the Lyla Rose set from Boux Avenue, you can choose from high waisted briefs or a thong but I personally thought briefs were cuter - everyone's opinions are different though! They're also really comfy too! It's such a bargain for £23.

To check out sizes or even other sets in the Boux Avenue sale, take a look for yourself!  - http://m.bouxavenue.com/;paging=viewAll/sale/page,all

(I apologise for the *slightly* nude photo or if any viewers found it distasteful but I posted it to show how well the colours matched my skin tone and how the briefs looked on me as obviously they look completely different when off. So yea, sorry about that!)

Be quick by the way, sales don't last forever!

I hope you all enjoyed the read and have a lovely day! Stay content.

Shoot for the Stars

Shoot for the Stars bath bomb (£3.25 each)

So yesterday I decided to treat myself in Lush and ended up buying a bath bomb I've never tried but heard great things about.
It's called 'Shoot for the Stars' and it smells amaaazing! It has a similar scent to Honey I washed the Kids soap with a soothing honey-toffee fragrance.
I was really close to buying 'Twilight' but the lush assistant insisted I buy 'Shoot for the Stars'.

When I dropped it into the bath it all fizzed out into yellow, blue and pink colours then eventually turned into little white swirls in the water.

When it all settled, it turned into a moody blue/purple midnight sky colour with silver glitter rising from the bottom of the bath with tiny stars arising. It looks so pretty! When I finished bathing, my skin felt so soft and it really left the honey scent on me too.
There's only one downside to this product -- It took quite a while for it to melt, but maybe it was because my bath wasn't piping hot, but it did take quite a while. Other than that, it looked so magical and pretty!
So if you're looking for a last minute secret Santa gift or just a small gift for a family member or friend, I'd highly recommend Shoot for the Stars at this time of the year!
If you would like to find out more information about this product, just head over to Lush!

Woweeee Lush!

Now, everybody knows I love Lush products... Or at least my boyfriend knows.
So, my boyfriend was lovely enough to buy me a Lush gift box called 'Woweeee' which includes Ponche shower gel (100g), Whoosh shower jelly (100g), Snow Globe soap (120g) and red Fun (50g).

It's a very fresh smelling gift box, mainly because Snow Globe and Whoosh are both strong scented products. I've used all these products in the past apart from Fun - which is something I'll need to experiment a little more on.

Snow Globe soap (£3.10 for 100g)

So first off I have Snow Globe (100g). If you're into fresh smelling products such a Whoosh shower jelly, then you will most likely love this soap! It has a lovely uplifting citrus/lemongrass scent to it which is perfect for winter months AND summer months! You can use it in the shower or bath and come out feeling fresh as a daisy. I give this a 9/10.

Whoosh shower jelly (£3.50 for 100g)

Whoosh is an amazing shower jelly I've used previously and it's probably one of my favourite lush products - ever! It has a similar scent to Snow Globe soap with the citrus fragrance. You can use it in the shower or bath! All you have to do is take a pinch of jelly and warm water, it will form a soapy texture then you can just wash yourself with it! It works amazingly with a shower scrunchy - that's how I use it. Also, I don't think there's anything worse than purchasing a shower gel and coming out of the shower NOT smelling of that gel. Well with Whoosh you can still smell it on your skin! It's strong but not annoyingly strong.
Another great fact about this product... You can use it on skin AND hair! I would definitely recommend this product. A strong 10/10!

Ponche shower gel (£4.30 for 100g)

Ponche is a shower gel which includes citrus oils, buchu and davana oil to leave a juicy tropical scent to your skin after a lovely shower! It's strong at first but turns into a nice fruity scent. I've only used this shower gel once before and that was a little sample I tried. It's bright, fruity and highly uplifting after a horrible day! It does include alcohol although non-alcoholic gels are available online.
If you're into the whole tropical/boozy scents then you will love this! It's also limited edition so make sure you grab one quick! I give this a 7/10.

Red Fun (50g - part of a gift box) (£5.00 each for 200g)

This stuff is amazing! You can pretty much use it for anything too which makes it so great. The red fun smells of orange and includes orange and mandarin essential oils! You can create it into different shapes, use it on hair, as a hand wash, as a body wash... The list goes on! Another great thing about this product is that you can actually use it to hand wash clothes by pinching a piece off and crumbling it under hot water!
I'm currently using it as a hand wash and it works perfectly - you really do only need a little pinch though!
I give this a 10/10 - amazing product!

Check these products out when you get a chance! They're all amazing products and make wonderful gifts! For more information check out the lush website.
